Going into eighth grade, help!?

Ok so I'm a girly girl who happened to be friends with some girls in elementary school who became popular in middle school. I was always kind of on the outskirts of the the popular group. Now my old friends keep changing and changing and now I don't really hang out with them, I hang out with some other nice people that aren't popular at all. I have this one friend that gets along with like all the groups and cliques. In eighth grade next year how can I make people forget me as girl who got kicked out of the popular crowd and start fresh and become friends with all the groups and cliques?
